There really is no bigger honour than being asked to lead a funeral for someone’s loved one. Not
only is a funeral the final farewell for that loved one but also it will be the final memory ever
created of that special person.
For this reason fewer people are opting for religious ceremonies and moving towards the more
secular ceremonies which are less about a higher being and more about the individual who has
As an independent celebrant I have no ties to any particular religious organisation or belief
system. This means I have the ability and flexibility to build a ceremony that suits your loved one.
This could even mean a mix of religious and secular, having a ceremony built around that
persons interests and loves with a prayer or hymn woven in.
The possibilities for honouring those who have passed really are endless.
The same goes for memorial services. So many loved ones have passed recently without being
properly celebrated due to COVID restrictions. Hosting a memorial service is a lovely way to mark
their passing when restrictions are lifted.

Some kind words from a selection of the amazing people I have been lucky enough to work with.
“Alexis delivered the funeral service for my brother. She shared his storied so well and really captured the essence of his personality. On a tragically sad day Alexis was able to bring not just comfort but some humour too which really lifted our spirits. I know my brother would have been happy with the service Alexis provided”
“Alexis delivered my brothers Funeral and I was truly blown away. Before then I had only ever been to religious funerals so going to a service that had laughter and joy and focussed purely on the person who had passed was rather unknown. Alexis sat down with me and my siblings to build a picture of my brother and even communicated with my sister in the US so she felt involved. On the day Alexis told his stories so well and included small (but hilarious) things we had forgotten we told her. It felt like we were properly celebrating his life and were able to give him the send off he deserved. Thank you Alexis.”
My family and I were having a very hard time dealing with the death of our father, not only did we have to grieve but we had to plan his funeral on top of that. When I found Alexis it was like a weight off my chest, she reassured us every step of the way and helped us understand how to plan a funeral. Alexis is clearly very passionate about what she does, the way she listened to our stories and delivered them at the funeral was so comforting. I would recommend Alexis for a funeral, wedding or any celebration… She is quite a character!”
